One of the nicest things anyone has ever said about me was that I tried to find the mystery in computers. I like to help make the things that other people dream up but don't know how to build. The other nicest thing anyone's ever said about me was being called a "Golden God" for my work on theMirror Project [2] . If I can continue to do work that garners a similar commentary, I won't be too disappointed.

Webmaster, programmer
Broadband2Wireless (Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A)
October 2000-May 2001
Officially, I was supposed to be the Big Picture guy in charge of both the public websites and private intranets. I would act as the intermediary between the rest of the company and the web staff which I would also oversee. While at BB2W, I was often heard to say "The short answer is yes."
BB2W was a start-up company whose goal was to create a national (U.S.) wireless network, aimed at the consumer and business markets. I worked for BB2W, off-site, tele-commuting from Montréal, for the duration of my employment.
Projects:
Webmaster
Vineyard.NET Inc. (Vineyard Haven, Massachusetts, U.S.A)
December 1997-September 2000
On any given day, I might have spent my time answering technical support calls, writing HOWTOs and FAQs for customers, doing anything design related (whether it was for print or the web), writing code for our customer's account administration system and any number of small system administrative tasks. I liked to joke that my real title was : "All-purpose Aaron".
VNI is an Internet Service Provider, located on Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts. From January 2000 until the end of my employment with VNI I worked offsite,tele-commuting from Montréal.
Projects:
Manager, herb garden
Morning Glory Farm (Edgartown, Massachusetts, U.S.A)
1998-1998
Morning Glory Farm is a fruits and vegetables farm on the island of Martha's Vineyard, in operation for over 20 years.
I ran the herb garden full-time which involved planting, weeding and maintaining the fields. I was also involved in seeding decisions. Herbs were sold in the farm's retail store as well and wholesale to restaurants; I was responsible for displays and filling orders. I spent more time than I ever could have imagined fixing irrigation problems which are like the life-blood of all farming.
Eatdrinkfeelgood

Projects:
PerlFive years experience. This is my programming language of choice. Despite the many valid criticisms, I like working in Perl because of its flexibility and because the creativity and sense of humour [5] of the Perl community makes every day fun and exciting. I am comfortable writing and debugging functional and object-oriented Perl as well as Apache/mod_perl handlers.
PHPFour years experience. This is not my programming language of choice but I appreciate the valuable role that it can play in creating web applications. I am comfortable writing and debugging functional and object-oriented PHP.
JavaScriptFour years experience, off and on. I like JavaScript even less than PHP, but I am still comfortable performing reading, writing and debugging the language.
SQLFour years experience, with MySQL. I have spent most of time using SQL in a variety of web-based applications and personal tools for managing contact information and email archives.
XSL / XSL-FOTwo years experience. Although, it has not been immediately applicable to the work I've done in a professional context, I rely on XSL for a variety of other projects including the Eatdrinkfeelgood [6] markup language and extending the XML Résumé Library stylesheets [7] used to create this document.
I am confortable reading and writing DTDs and have even gone so far as creating them for a variety of XML applications including the Eatdrinkfeelgood [6] and Outline (OTLML) [8] markup languages. I have a basic knowledge of the various XML Schema languages but no working experience with any of them.
FreeBSDEnough experience to know that even though I prefer the simplicity and elegance of tcsh I still like working in Emacs. I am comfortable performing the basic setup and maintenance of a machine. I am not so comfortable maintaining a complex email system or discussing the history or relative merits of the many Unix 'rc' systems.
I have been writing HTML since 1995 and CSS since 1998. I have been known to write markup that doesn't validate and I don't hang on every hack and work-around announced on the css-d list. However, I know how to do both and have lots of working experience in the boring, nitty-gritty details designing and laying-out web pages.
I have a working knowledge of PhotoShop, Quark, Director, Premiere and the fundamentals of 3-D modeling and animation. I have a basic understanding of Illustrator and Flash.
Englishfluent, written and spoken.
Frenchfluent, spoken; not so fluent written.
Founded in early 2003, the W3QC [9] was established to advance and promote the use of web standards in the province of Québec. My work is primarily technical, helping to design, implement and maintain the back-end systems and tools used to advance the group's mission.

The Net::Google [13] package was the subject of Michael Schilli's article Google-Hupf [14] , for the German Linux Magazin. As author of the package, I was interviewed by CNET News for an article on the Google SOAP APIs, Developers dig in to Google's toolbox [15] . Net::Google is also used as part of the incredibly cool DBD::Google [16] package.
The Net::Blogger [17] package has elicited a variety of enthusiastic responses including: "Okay, Net::Blogger officially rocks" [18] and "With Net::Blogger you can -- kick ass!" [19]
